Job summary

Danfoss in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer to support our manufacturing operations. You will help ensure reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and automation enhancements.

You will design, program, modify, and support PLC and HMI systems, troubleshoot across electrical, electronic, and mechanical domains, and drive integration with PLCs, MES, and shop-floor technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
3+ years in controls/automation/manufacturing engineering.
Experience programming, troubleshooting PLC-based systems.
Strong problem-solving and collaboration in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

Design, program, modify, and support PLC and HMI systems to improve reliability and efficiency.
Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
Support integration of equipment with PLCs, MES, and shop-floor technologies.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and ergonomics.
Develop and maintain technical documentation for equipment and processes.
