Job summary

JR Automation Technologies, LLC, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design, implement, and document control systems for automated equipment in Greenville, SC. This onsite role offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art robotics and automation technology.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMI, robotics, motion control, and CAD drawings, and collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver reliable solutions at customer sites up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Associate's degree with over 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, Mechatronics, Motion Control, Vision Systems and/or Programming.
• Experience with CAD (AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks).
• Ability to read electrical/pneumatic schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document controls systems for automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment.
• Perform machine power up, debug and programming.
• Ensure equipment is designed and programmed to specifications using standard techniques and approach.
