Job summary

JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Controls Engineer II for our Greenville, SC facility. You will design, implement, and document controls systems for automated equipment, while collaborating with a team of engineers to advance state-of-the-art robotics and automation solutions.

Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with relevant experience, knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, CAD tools, and travel up to 50% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, an Associate's degree with over 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• Prior JR Automation or automation industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, mechatronics, motion control, vision systems or programming.
• Experience with CAD (AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks).
• Travel up to 35% - 50% to customer sites & other JR locations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document controls systems for various types of automated equipment
• Troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices and peripheral equipment
• Perform machine power up, debug and programming
• Ensure equipment is designed and programmed to specifications using standard techniques and approach
