Job summary

Hendrickson is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD Electrical, PLC and HMI programming, and to assist in panel building for new product development, improvements, and capacity expansions.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing engineering, proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and Rockwell software, and knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• BS in a related technical area is required (EE preferred).
• 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• AutoCAD experience required; AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
• Fanuc Robotics experience is a strong plus.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Familiar with NEC and NFPA codes.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation software and components (RSLogix 500/5000, FactoryTalk View, FactoryTalk Transaction Manager, Kinetix Drives, Ethernet, and DeviceNET).

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and implement automation projects for tooling, controls, and equipment.
• Implement cost, quality, and capacity improvements through methods and control changes.
• Participate in equipment design and systems reviews.
• Maintain BOMs and documentation for project packages.
• Support standardization by specifying and purchasing similar controls equipment.
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing and maintenance to solve problems.
