Job summary

Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer II in Spartanburg, SC to design, implement, and optimize industrial automation across coffee roasting, packaging, and distribution. The role focuses on PLC, HMI/SCADA, and networked control systems, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and reliability.

You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations to drive continuous improvement, lead capital projects, and provide training to teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of industrial automation experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive PLC programming experience is required.
• Strong experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation systems, including FactoryTalk Suite, Logix Platform, and Allen-Bradley networks.
• Working knowledge of OPC-UA architecture and industrial communication protocols.
• Experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and optimize automation solutions that improve safety, quality, efficiency and cost performance.
• Support commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and optimization of equipment.
• Design, implement, and maintain industrial automation and control networks.
• Manage control system documentation, software revisions, and change control processes.
• Develop and deliver training for maintenance and operations personnel.
• Lead automation-focused capital and continuous improvement projects from planning through execution.
