Job summary

Enbridge is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to lead the planning, design, modernization, and lifecycle management of industrial automation systems across compressor stations, LNG facilities, and remote assets in the United States. You will drive reliability, cybersecurity, and operational performance while supporting capital projects and ongoing sustainment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in industrial automation, controls, instrumentation, SCADA, or OT systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, RTUs, HMI/SCADA and industrial networks.
• Experience with lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and OT cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions to sustain, modernize, and enhance PLC/RTU/SCADA/HMI, measurement, and industrial networking systems at natural gas facilities.
• Lead lifecycle planning, modernization, and obsolescence mitigation for control systems and OT assets.
• Provide engineering leadership for capital projects, facility upgrades, system migrations, and commissioning activities.
• Create and maintain engineering standards, OT/ICS network architectures, design packages, testing documentation, and governance processes.
• Evaluate system performance, reliability trends, and cybersecurity risks; perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and project teams while mentoring technical staff and supporting regulatory and compliance initiatives.
