Job summary

Enbridge is seeking an Advisor Automation & Controls to design, build, commission, and troubleshoot automation and control systems, including PLCs and gas measurement systems. You will support plant OT systems, HMI software/servers, operator workstations, and ICS networks, with a focus on reliability and safety.

The role requires a BS in Electrical/Controls/Computer Engineering (or equivalent) and 4+ years of experience, or 6+ years in field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; 4 years of experience or 6+ years field ops experience.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting industrial control systems.
• Advanced proficiency with engineering software and computers.
• Ability to coordinate work with field technicians, contractors, and vendors.
• Strong technical directions and clear communication of complex concepts.
• Valid driver's license verified prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, build, commission, and troubleshoot automation and control systems (PLCs, gas measurement systems).
• Support plant OT systems including HMI software, HMI servers, operator workstations, and ICS networks.
• Support existing and new SCADA interfaces to automation and control systems.
• Design and update PFDs, P&IDs, and control panel drawings.
• Apply NFPA 70 requirements and intrinsically safe wiring practices.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and pneumatic control systems; resolve issues via ticketing system.
