Job summary

Rogers Group, Inc., based in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer to join the electrical team supporting controls, automation, and technology across aggregate and asphalt plants.

You will program PLCs, develop control logic and diagrams, and integrate Ignition and Canary. Coordinate with external electrical services as needed, while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related engineering and programming experience.
• Aggregate industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of process flows and interlocking in processing plants.
• Experience with underground mining practices and equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Windows (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance with HMI integration.
• Develop control logic, drawings, and documentation for systems.
• Interface with Ignition and Canary automation software.
• Provide detailed drawings of control systems and logic.
• Coordinate outside electrical and controls services.
• Schedule work to meet dates, specs, and budget.
• Travel up to 10% domestically for plant visits and startup.
• Debug and troubleshoot field automation issues.
