Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer in Auburn, WA to support development, implementation, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.

This role focuses on PLC programming, industrial networking, equipment modernization, cybersecurity, data collection, and production automation while collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to improve reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience supporting automation and manufacturing systems.
• Experience evaluating, implementing, and troubleshooting automated equipment and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, implement, and validate hardware and software solutions for automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy enhancements to automation hardware, software, and production equipment.
• Implement machine safety improvements and ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards.
• Analyze equipment performance data to perform root cause analysis and resolve recurring production issues.
• Troubleshoot production equipment related to quality, reliability, repeatability, and system performance.
• Develop and maintain industrial networking infrastructure, equipment connectivity, and cybersecurity solutions.
• Develop automated data collection systems supporting equipment performance metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, uptime).
• Collaborate with Operations to develop data acquisition strategies and improve manufacturing visibility.
• Lead or support projects involving procurement, installation, modification, and commissioning of equipment.
