Jobot is seeking a Controls Engineer in Knoxville, TN to design, specify and procure automation equipment including robots, PLCs, and control panels. You will lead or assist continuous improvements and support production with on-call troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
5+ years of related electrical controls or factory automation experience.
Design and maintain safe, reliable automation in manufacturing.
Fanuc Robot experience with Roboguide and iRVision preferred.
Troubleshoot and repair Allen Bradley PLC systems, VFDs, sensors, etc.
Rockwell RSLogix/Studio 5000 knowledge required.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
Willing to mentor and train team members.

Responsibilities

Design, specify, and procure automation equipment (robots, PLCs, control panels).
Lead continuous improvement of factory automation equipment.
Prepare proposals and cost-justification for new automation equipment.
Prepare and maintain documentation, program code, instructions and training materials.
Support and train plant personnel in operation, troubleshooting and repair.
Provide on-call support for equipment troubleshooting to support production.
