Steven Douglas Corp. designs, engineers, and builds custom automation systems for medical, consumer, and industrial sectors. You will own the controls portion of projects from concept through startup, defining architectures and leading PLC/HMI programming, motion control, and safety work with a skilled team.

You will size servo axes, lead debugging, and work closely with customers to ensure FAT and start-up success, while advancing engineering standards and reusable libraries.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years of hands-on controls engineering experience.
• Proven PLC/HMI programming and electrical schematic skills.
• Experience leading controls work through full project lifecycle.

Aufgaben

• Own controls portion of multiple automation projects from concept through acceptance.
• Define control architectures with mechanical/electrical engineers.
• Develop, test, and debug PLC, HMI, motion, and safety programs.
• Size and tune servo axes; integrate with machine logic and safety.
• Lead controls debug during panel build, FAT, installation, and startup.
• Collaborate with customers during reviews and startups.
• Improve SDC's controls standards and reusable libraries.
• Troubleshoot complex issues using root-cause analysis.
