Steven Douglas Corp designs and builds custom automated machines and seeks a Machine Builder in Ohio. You’ll assemble machines per engineering docs, perform mechanical assembly with pneumatic and basic electrical tasks, and help debug performance issues. You’ll operate precision tooling, support testing, and may assist with on-site startup. Travel up to 10% is required.

Competenze

• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machine-building practices, tools, and equipment.
• Familiarity with machining materials: carbon steel, tool steels, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings; pneumatic schematics and electrical wiring diagrams are plus.
• Proficiency with eDrawings, Excel, and Teams is advantageous.
• Capable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs and operating lift trucks/overhead cranes.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Mansioni

• Assemble custom machines using mechanical blueprints and engineering docs.
• Perform mechanical assembly with pneumatic and basic electrical work as needed.
• Mount, fasten, drill, tap, level, and pipe pneumatics or tubes.
• Collaborate with project teams to debug and improve machine performance.
• Support acceptance testing and assist with on-site installations/start-up if required.
• Operate metalworking/cutting equipment to manufacture/modify parts.
• Unpack, pack, crate, and prepare machinery for shipment.
• Travel up to 10%.
