Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineering Co-Op in Royal Pines, NC. This role focuses on PLC programming and HMI/SCADA activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Students will gain hands-on experience working with Controls Engineers to maintain and troubleshoot industrial automation systems while developing foundational skills in controls engineering and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Academic or project-based exposure to PLC concepts.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with PLC programming tasks under engineering review.
• Help with commissioning and validation activities.
• Support troubleshooting of automation equipment.
