Job summary
Höganäs AB is seeking an Electrical Control Systems Engineer to support both new and existing automation equipment across multiple facilities. You will design, develop, and implement automated systems to boost efficiency and productivity, while coordinating CAPEX projects and supervising contractors.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least three years of manufacturing experience and proficiency in CAD, MS Project, and MS Office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least three years of manufacturing experience.
- Automation programming/PLC experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CAD software, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, and implements automated systems to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Evaluates and provides justification, specifications, scope of work, design drawings, bidding, scheduling, supervision, and commissioning of assigned automation projects.
- Provides support for automation equipment across facilities using mechanical, electrical, automation, and process engineering expertise.
- Explores ways to improve or upgrade automation systems.
- Participates in CAPEX preparation and monitors cost, quality, and time constraints of investments.
- Arranges outside contractors to perform work at the facility.
- Prepares and maintains engineering designs with basic CAD design.
