Job summary

CONFIDENTIAL is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support installation, startup, debugging, and validation of high-precision automation equipment across North America. This role requires hands-on problem solving at customer sites, with travel about 40-60% and close collaboration with Engineering and Project Management teams.

You will read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/servo systems, train operators, and document startup activities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in commissioning, field service, controls, automation, or machine build.
• Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
• PLC knowledge (Siemens or Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 40-60% and work independently at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Commission high-precision automated equipment at customer sites.
• Perform startup, debugging, testing, and validation.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, servo, pneumatic, and mechanical subsystems.
• Support FAT/SAT activities and operator training.
• Document startup activities and service reports.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Controls, Mechanical, and PM teams.
