Confidential Commissioning Engineer position in North America requiring hands-on experience with high-precision automation equipment. You will lead machine startups, perform debugging and validation, and fix issues on site at customer facilities.

Travel will be substantial, up to 40–60% across North America, with emphasis on installation and acceptance testing. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in commissioning or related fields, read electrical/mechanical drawings, and possess PLC skills

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commissioning, field service, controls, automation, or machine build experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
• PLC knowledge (Siemens or Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently at customer facilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Commission high-precision automated manufacturing equipment.
• Perform machine startup, debugging, testing, and validation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, HMI, servo, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Work alongside customers during installation and production launch.
• Verify machine performance meets engineering specifications.
• Support FAT and SAT activities.
• Provide operator and maintenance training.
• Document startup activities and service reports.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Controls, Mechanical Assembly, and Project Management teams.
• Identify process improvements to improve machine performance and reliability.
