CONFIDENTIAL is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support installation, startup, debugging, and validation of high-precision automation equipment across North America. This role requires hands-on problem solving at customer sites, with travel about 40-60% and close collaboration with Engineering and Project Management teams.

You will read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, troubleshoot PLC/HMI/servo systems, train operators, and document startup activities.

Qualifications

2+ years in commissioning, field service, controls, automation, or machine build.
Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience troubleshooting industrial automation equipment.
PLC knowledge (Siemens or Allen-Bradley preferred).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Willingness to travel 40-60% and work independently at customer sites.

Responsibilities

Commission high-precision automated equipment at customer sites.
Perform startup, debugging, testing, and validation.
Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, servo, pneumatic, and mechanical subsystems.
Support FAT/SAT activities and operator training.
Document startup activities and service reports.

What You'll Do

Commission high-precision automated manufacturing equipment
Perform machine startup, debugging, testing, and validation
Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, HMI, servo, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Work alongside customers during installation and production launch
Verify machine performance meets engineering specifications
Support FAT and SAT activities
Provide operator and maintenance training
Document startup activities and service reports
Collaborate with Engineering, Controls, Mechanical Assembly, and Project Management teams
Identify process improvements to improve machine performance and reliability

What We're Looking For

2+ years of commissioning, field service, controls, automation, or machine build experience
