Job summary

Mercor is seeking computer power users and automation builders to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real productivity and automation workflows on your Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

This part-time role requires 10-20 hours per week, immediate start, and candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience or currently enrolled masters. Strong macOS knowledge and ability to clearly explain your reasoning are essential.

Qualifications

• Must own a MacBook or Mac with Apple Silicon or Intel, running macOS 15+.
• Deep familiarity with macOS and its apps, keyboard-driven workflows, and system settings.
• Experience building automations with Shortcuts, Automator, AppleScript, Keyboard Maestro, Raycast, Alfred, Zapier, Make, or shell scripting.
• Currently pursuing Masters studies, or 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelor's from a prestigious institution.
• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real multi-app productivity and automation tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models.

You will work through real productivity and automation workflows on your own Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.

• Deep familiarity with macOS and its apps, keyboard-driven workflows, and system settings

• Experience building automations with tools such as Shortcuts, Automator, AppleScript, Keyboard Maestro, Raycast, Alfred, Zapier, Make, or shell scripting

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution

• Ability to clearly explain your reasoning while you work

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
