Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation Build Engineer for the Development Operations team supporting Starlink. You will lead large-scale deployments, develop standardized procedures, and optimize fabrication and integration processes to improve shop efficiency.

You will collaborate with Starlink engineering product teams, supply chain, and vendors, owning deliverables, schedules, and program milestones while driving continuous improvement across manufacturing workflows.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 2+ years designing or manufacturing electromechanical systems.
Experience presenting design/manufacturing readiness reviews.

Responsibilities

Act as liaison between automation, supply chain, production, and development operations to meet milestones.
Ideate and implement new manufacturing processes and workflows to increase throughput and safety.
Manage build, configuration and installation of modular automation assets from raw materials to handoff.
Collaborate with engineering to drive design updates in response to manufacturing issues.
Prepare engineering documentation for transition from development to production.
Work with suppliers to fabricate parts and sub-assemblies to production needs.
