Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation and Test Engineer for Satellites (Starlink) to design, develop, and build test platforms that validate Starlink software and hardware across environments. You will own test systems from hardware-in-the-loop to virtualized simulations, and work with engineers to ensure rapid, reliable testing and deployment of Starlink products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 1+ years in test systems or 3+ years without degree.
• Development experience in C/C++ or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and build test platforms to validate Starlink software.
• Develop software for test execution across HITL and virtual simulations.
• Invent tools for frequent, reliable deployment and data analysis.
• Analyze test results and investigate bugs with engineers.
• Work with developers to provide a reliable integrated test platform.
• Hands-on integration and troubleshooting of Starlink hardware/software.
• Identify areas for improvement in test systems and create solutions.
