Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. in Newington, NH is seeking an Automation Assembly Technician II to mechanically and electrically assemble automated production equipment and support machine debug and runoffs.

This role requires reading engineering drawings, wiring cabinets, and maintaining assembly lines to ensure throughput. The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of technical work experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling, wiring, and debugging automation machines.
• Knowledge of NFPA 79 Electrical Standards is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret part specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Basic Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire and plumb new automation equipment per engineering drawings.
• Maintain machines, fixtures, and tooling on all Assembly Lines.
• Work with manufacturing engineering to implement new machines, fixtures, and gauges.
• Participate on machine runoffs for new capital equipment per machine specifications.
• Assist with procuring tooling and equipment for legacy and new products.
• Create, implement, and maintain process documentation including work instructions and control plans.
• Support 5S Workplace organization and sustainment activities.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
