Job summary

Marquardt Group in New York state is seeking an Equipment Realization Technician responsible for assembling and setting up new machines, building automated assembly and test stations from purchased components and machined parts, and performing basic machining and troubleshooting. This hands-on role emphasizes reading drawings, wiring electrical devices, and teamwork to support production.

Travel up to 20% is expected; on-call or after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Apprentice program and journeyman license preferred.
• Associate degree with related experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting assembly drawings and 3D models.
• Assembly of mechanical devices and machined components.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
• Assembly and wiring of electrical devices and connections.
• Use of hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting and use of a multimeter.
• Operate manual toolroom machines (drills, mills, lathes, grinders).
• Machining basic parts from drawings.
• Design basic holding fixtures, end of arm tools, and simple carts.
• Support manufacturing as a technical resource and coordinate with production.
