Job summary

Marquardt Switches Inc. in Cazenovia, NY is seeking an Equipment Realization Technician to join the Industrial Engineering team. The role covers assembly and setup of new machines, building automated stations from purchased parts and machined components, and basic machining.

You will read drawings, assemble mechanical and electrical components, and troubleshoot with a multimeter. Domestic travel of 10–20% is required depending on project needs; a hands-on, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Four-year state certificate apprentice program and journeyman license is required.
• Associate degree with related experience is preferred.
• Math skills and knowledge of shop/mechanical mathematics are required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn CAM software.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly drawings and 3D models.
• Assemble mechanical devices and machined components.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Assemble and wire electrical devices and connections.
• Use hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting with a multimeter.
• Machining basic parts from drawings using drill, milling, lathe, and grinder.
• Design and develop basic holding fixtures and end of arm tools to support manufacturing.
• Provide timely tool room support to production coordinators.
