Job summary

Marquee Staffing is seeking a hands-on Automation Technician to troubleshoot, set up, repair, and improve manufacturing equipment in our California operations. The role rewards practical problem solving, steady hands, and ownership of equipment reliability on the shop floor.

You will diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and basic controls issues, support commissioning of new machines, and help with preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability required.
• Comfort with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Commitment to safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Willingness to learn PLC/HMI troubleshooting if needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing machinery and automation equipment.
• Set up, adjust, test, and operate equipment for production runs and changeovers.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, sensor, and basic controls issues.
• Assist with commissioning of new machines from installation to stable production.
• Document machine settings, repairs, and maintenance actions clearly.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Work with engineering and quality teams to solve equipment problems.
