About the Role

Transport yourself into the world of automation and controls, where your role as an Automation and Control Technician puts you at the forefront of industry innovation. Collaborating with Integration Engineers at client locations and during critical project phases, you’ll thrive in an environment where self-direction is key. Your skilled troubleshooting of electrical systems is essential, while expertise with PLCs, like Allen Bradley and Siemens, will be your hallmark.

Location

Your residence should be within a convenient commute to the Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, as varied and demanding work conditions await. You'll be facing everything from temperature swings to physical challenges such as ladder work and navigating in dim or tight quarters.

Note: Visa sponsorship and relocation expenses are not available for this position.

Responsibilities

1. Analyze electrical schematics, resolve system issues, and draft electrical designs.
2. Innovate to enhance control system functionality and efficiency.
3. Diagnose, identify, and remedy electrical and control component challenges swiftly.
4. Deploy your expertise in electrical/control devices within real-world applications.
5. Follow safety protocols, including PPE usage and hazard awareness.
6. Use hand and power tools effectively, including wrenches and grinders.
7. Handle electrical testing instruments, such as multi-meters, proficiently.
8. Maintain current knowledge of essential software, mainly Microsoft Office.
9. Contribute to project success through additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications We Value

1. Proven troubleshooting experience in industrial automation, processing, and material handling.
2. Ability to read and create electrical diagrams and solve related issues independently.

9. Ability to pass initial and TSA-level background checks to obtain an airport badge.
10. Reliable transportation to MSY and on-site presence are mandatory.
