Charter Manufacturing seeks an Automation & Analytics Intern to gain hands-on experience applying AI, automation, and analytics to real business challenges at Milwaukee, WI.

You'll collaborate with business and manufacturing teams, prepare data for reporting, and build workflows using tools like ChatGPT, Alteryx, SQL, Snowflake, Python, Power Automate, and Tableau. The program runs year‑round with a mix of part‑time and full‑time periods during the year.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year degree program in Business Analytics, CS, IS or IT Management.
• Current Sophomore status or higher and a minimum 2.75 GPA.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and manufacturing teams to understand processes and opportunities.
• Identify AI, automation, and analytics solutions to improve efficiency.
• Prepare and validate data for reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.

• Create reusable AI prompts and tools to streamline work.
• Document processes and maintain best practices.

About the Automation & Analytics Internship:

Through this internship, you'll gain hands-on experience applying artificial intelligence, automation, and analytics to solve real business challenges. You'll learn how to analyze business processes, prepare and validate data, and develop practical technology solutions using tools such as ChatGPT, Alteryx, SQL, Snowflake, Python, Power Automate, and Tableau. Along the way, you'll strengthen your communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills while presenting technical insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Program Structure:

• Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
• Location: Milwaukee, WI
• Start Date: January 2027
• Duration: Year-round internship

What we're looking for:

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems or IT Management, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

What you'll focus on:

• Partner with business and manufacturing teams to understand processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Identify and support AI, automation, and analytics solutions that improve business efficiency.
• Prepare, validate, and organize data for reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives.
• Develop and test workflows using tools such as ChatGPT, Alteryx, SQL, Snowflake, Python, Power Automate, and Tableau.
• Create reusable AI prompts, workflows, and custom GPT solutions to streamline work.
• Build and maintain documentation for business processes, solutions, and best practices.
• Validate data quality and support the development of repeatable data preparation workflows.
• Test solutions with end users, gather feedback, and recommend improvements.
• Communicate project outcomes and business impact to cross‑functional stakeholders.
