Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Business Analyst to design, build, and optimize relational databases and automation tools within Microsoft Office (Access/Excel). You will translate complex business requirements into scalable, user-friendly solutions and create intuitive GUIs, dashboards, and reports for non-technical users.

The role includes upgrading legacy databases and VBA applications, documenting tools, and providing cross-team support while maintaining safety and confidentiality in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Relational databases, SQL, and data modeling proficiency.
• Advanced knowledge of Access and Excel required; TOAD preferred.
• Proficient VBA designer/developer to automate processes.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable automation.
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience documenting tools and user guides.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize databases, macros, and automation tools in Office (Access/Excel).
• Translate complex requirements into scalable automation solutions.
• Create GUIs, forms, dashboards, and reporting interfaces for end-users.
• Analyze and upgrade legacy databases, spreadsheets, and VBA apps.
• Write technical documentation and user guides for tools.
• Backup/support tasks across the BI team as needed.
• Travel to meetings/training occasionally.
