Burnham Commercial is seeking an Automatic Welder in Lancaster, PA. This full-time, union-hourly role involves operating the submerged arc welding process, preparing joints, and ensuring weld quality to ASME standards. The position offers weekday hours with some Saturday work as needed.

The incumbent will read blueprints, interpret welding symbols, and verify weld integrity. Benefits include medical, 401(k), weekly pay, holidays, vacation, and tuition reimbursement after 6 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to pass ASME 1G weld test.
• Ability to read blueprints or diagrams; experience with measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operates automatic welding machine at required speed and heat.
• Air arc joints as required.
• Produces a completed weld meeting ASME requirements and passes x-ray.
• Welds seams on high and low pressure vessels.
• Interprets welding symbols from blueprints.
• Removes slag from weld with slag hammer or wire brush.
• Stamps welds with certification stamp.
• Performs related work as directed.
