Job summary

Evans General Contractors is seeking an Autodesk Solutions Specialist to serve as the company-wide owner and administrator for Autodesk Forma and related products in the Forma Preconstruction and Operations Bundles. You will create, configure, and maintain all Forma projects, ensuring standardized workflows and user adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering Autodesk Forma and Autodesk Construction Cloud or related Autodesk construction products.
• Experience supporting construction, design, engineering, operations, or preconstruction teams.
• Strong understanding of construction workflows, project lifecycles, and preconstruction processes.
• Experience creating and delivering technical training, job aids, playbooks, and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own Autodesk Forma project creation and administration, ensuring standards and templates are maintained.
• Administer, train, and provide support for Autodesk Forma and related products across Operations and Preconstruction.
• Establish and enforce company standards for project creation, naming conventions, permissions, and setup practices.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials; create instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning experiences.

Job description

The Autodesk Solutions Specialist serves as the company-wide owner and administrator for Autodesk Forma and the Autodesk products included within the Forma Preconstruction and Operations Bundles. This role is responsible for creating, configuring, and maintaining all Autodesk Forma projects for Evans General Contractors while ensuring consistent standards, workflows, and user adoption across the organization.

The Autodesk Solutions Specialist acts as the primary subject matter expert for Autodesk Forma and related Autodesk solutions, providing project setup, administration, training governance, troubleshooting, and user support for Operations and Preconstruction teams. This position combines technical expertise, process ownership, training leadership, and frontline support to ensure project teams maximize the value of Autodesk technology and follow established company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Autodesk Forma Project Creation & Administration

• Own all Autodesk Forma project creation for Evans General Contractors.
• Create, configure, and maintain Autodesk Forma projects in accordance with company standards.
• Configure project information, locations, site boundaries, organizational settings, and required project parameters.
• Maintain project templates, setup standards, reusable workflows, and consistent naming conventions.
• Process project setup requests and coordinate with Operations and Preconstruction teams to ensure each project is established correctly.
• Manage Autodesk Forma project modifications, updates, and setup-related change requests throughout the project lifecycle.

Autodesk Product Administration, Support & Enablement

• Administer, train, and teach Autodesk products included in the Forma Preconstruction and Operations Bundles.
• Serve as the primary support resource for Autodesk Forma and related Autodesk products in scope for the role.
• Answer user questions, troubleshoot workflow issues, and provide practical guidance to project teams.
• Research product issues and coordinate with Autodesk support when needed.
• Maintain current knowledge of Autodesk product updates, enhancements, and new functionality.
• Help users understand how Autodesk tools support real project execution, collaboration, and business workflows.

Governance & Standards

• Establish and maintain company standards for Autodesk Forma project creation, administration, and usage.
• Ensure project naming conventions, project structures, permissions, templates, and setup practices remain consistent across Evans.
• Manage user access, permissions, and security settings related to supported Autodesk platforms.
• Promote proper system governance and reinforce approved workflows with project teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve consistency, reduce rework, and increase user confidence in Autodesk tools.

Process Documentation & Training

• Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and best-practice guides for Autodesk Forma workflows.
• Design and develop training across multiple formats including instructor led, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning.
• Create and continuously update high-quality training materials such as participant guides, facilitator guides, job aids, playbooks, and process documentation.
• Ensure all learning materials reflect real world execution and current business practices.
• Facilitate engaging learning experiences that include real world scenarios, problem solving, and hands on application.
• Support onboarding and ongoing enablement of project teams to improve system adoption and correct usage.
• Partner with Training and Development team to maintain and evolve a centralized library of training materials and resources, coordinate training sessions, and measure training effectiveness.

User Adoption & Continuous Improvement

• Serve as a trusted advisor to Operations, Preconstruction, and other Autodesk users.
• Support new Autodesk deployments, process changes, and workflow enhancements.
• Gather feedback from users and recommend improvements to workflows, standards, documentation, and training resources.
• Drive adoption of supported Autodesk tools through clear communication, practical training, and responsive support.
• Help maximize the value of Evans' Autodesk investment by improving usability, consistency, and project team confidence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience administering Autodesk Forma and Autodesk Construction Cloud or related Autodesk construction products, preferred.
• Experience supporting construction, design, engineering, operations, or preconstruction teams, preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction workflows, project lifecycles, and preconstruction processes, preferred.
• Experience creating and delivering technical training, job aids, playbooks, and process documentation, preferred.
• Ability to translate complex software functionality into practical, real-world business processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical users in a professional, service-oriented manner.
