Job summary

Steelial Construction & Metal Fabrication is seeking an experienced Draftsman with strong Autodesk Inventor skills and background in food-production facilities. You will create precise 2D drawings and 3D models, coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams, and ensure designs meet food-safety standards.

Responsibilities include assembly drawings, BOMs, cut lists, and layout drafting for processing equipment and platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Draftsman, CAD Designer, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (iLogic experience is a plus).
• Background in the food industry, including sanitation and plant design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, structural plans, and fabrication details.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and machining tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
• Create assembly drawings, BOMs, part sheets, and cut lists.
• Draft food-industry equipment layouts, platforms, mezzanines, framing, and components.
• Interpret and apply food-safety design standards (cleanability, weld standards).
• Review and modify drawings based on feedback from engineering or clients.
• Coordinate fabrication requirements with shop personnel.
• Maintain drawing accuracy throughout project lifecycle.
• Prepare design documentation for project submittals.
