Job summary

FPEC Corp. in Springdale, AR, seeks a design engineer to create comprehensive part and assembly drawings, material specs, and BOMs for fabrication and installation. You will deliver detailed drawings, layouts, and participate in cross-functional coordination to meet project timelines and production goals.

Required skills include Inventor, AutoCAD, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls, and proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office. Food-industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of production processes including fabrication, welding, machining, and similar operations
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and electrical controls
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
• Experience in a food related industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all phases of product design including part and assembly drawings, material specifications, bill of materials
• Deliver complete and accurate detailed design drawings as required for fabrication, assembly and installation that meet project requirements
• Prepare layouts, sketches and detailed drawings as required.
• Responsible for defining and solving manufacturing/design issues and implementing production growth and/or projects that optimize existing production lines.
• Coordinate as required with internal groups including purchasing, quality control, sales, production, accounting personnel, metal finishing and assembly so projects are started and completed within the set timetable.
• Determine suitable component selection as new or replacement item in existing designs.
