Job summary

McCorvey Industrial Fabrication, a division of McCorvey Companies, based in Houston, TX, seeks a CAD Technician to support fabrication drawing development and 3D modeling using Inventor/AutoCAD in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will generate BOMs, cut lists, procurement forms, and plasma table layouts, collaborate with shop personnel, and capture as-built drawings from field measurements. Strong reading of drawings and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting customer/engineer drawings.
• Experience generating fabrication drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD to generate 3D models and create detailed Fabrication Drawings
• Generate Bill of Materials, Cut List, Procurement forms, and plasma table nests for fabrication
• Collaborate with Shop personnel to work through issues
• Ability to work in a shop or field environment to measure existing equipment to create as-built fabrication drawings
• Reading and interpreting customer/engineer drawings
