Rustic Steel Creations Inc. is seeking an AutoCAD Designer for a metal fabrication shop in the United States. The role involves designing, detailing, and coordinating custom architectural and ornamental metal projects from concept through production.

The ideal candidate develops accurate fabrication drawings, collaborates with clients, engineers, and fabricators, and solves field and design challenges while ensuring quality and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience designing manufacturing drawings from concept to production.
• Ability to interpret architectural, engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Advanced AutoCAD proficiency is required.
• Knowledge of structural detailing and tolerances.
• Experience with metal fabrication, furniture and ornamental work.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design custom metal fabrication projects using AutoCAD.
• Create detailed fabrication drawings, shop drawings and production-ready docs.
• Revise drawings per engineering requirements and client feedback.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers and fabricators.
• Perform site measurements and verify field dimensions.
• Track projects and manage production schedules.
