Job summary

Intertek in Kentwood, MI is seeking a Vehicle Test Fit Technician to join the Transportation Technologies Team in the automotive testing lab. You will assist with fitting body panels and lighting systems, document results, and help evaluate different versions for fit and appearance.

This role offers a clean, technical work environment and opportunities for growth. Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to obtain ASE certification, strong measurement skills (calipers, micrometers),

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to attain ASE Certification.
• Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to plan, organize and complete projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Test fit body panels and lighting systems on vehicles for fit and appearance.
• Comment on fit, appearance, and function of body panels and exteriors.
• Complete all documentation accurately and timely.
• Provide input to management and customers as needed.
• Organize daily workload and communicate turnaround times.
• Meet project, department and customer deadlines.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Transport vehicles/parts to and from the lab.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
