Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings is hiring an Unload/Auto Handler to safely move vehicles on and off rail cars in outdoor conditions. The role requires operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles and maintaining eRail certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Ability to work in tight and narrow spaces.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to maintain eRail certification credentials as required by the railroad.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work in all outdoor conditions including rain, snow, ice, heat, wind, and cold.

Responsibilities

• Unload/handle vehicles on rail cars safely and efficiently.
• Inspect incoming/outgoing cargo for damage and report issues promptly.
• Ensure tracks and inventory are accurate and properly secured.
• Meet daily safety briefings and follow established procedures.
• Coordinate with team to set up, inspect, and ground auto racks.
• Assist with labor planning and scheduling for the week.
