Job summary

Drummac, Inc. seeks an Auto Train Supervisor in Lorton, VA to lead daily vehicle loading/unloading operations and maintain loading records. You will coordinate with the Auto Train Manager, optimize staffing, and enforce safety standards across all carriers served.

Required are a valid driver’s license, 3+ years in transportation with 1+ year in a supervisory role, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 25% may be needed; a pre-employment background check is conducted.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills).
• At least three (3) years of transportation industry work experience with a minimum of one (1) year at the Supervisor level.
• Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel overnight as required by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact; coordinate with Drummac Auto Train Manager for adjustments.
• Lead the team and adjust staffing levels daily based on volume while maintaining first-class service.
• Monitor safety compliance and conduct health and safety audits.
• Coach and develop staff; provide training and disciplinary counseling as needed.
• Process payroll, manage daily budget, vacation schedules, and training assignments.
• Submit daily reports on loading records, inventory, and staffing.
