Auto Telephone Claims Adjuster I, II or Sr - National General

Job Description

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for complex automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages, and negotiates claims within authority limits. Mentors junior employees.

This is a remote auto claims adjuster role. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto claims handling and can sit in any time zone.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Determines subrogation or fraud potential and handles complex cases accordingly.
  2. Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies, industry standards, and organizational relationships.
  3. Handles investigations of all aspects of complex auto claims with discretion and independence.
  4. For injury claims, reviews, evaluates, and negotiates moderate to complex injuries.
  5. Recognizes vehicle body parts and potential property damages.
  6. Identifies customer needs and utilizes appropriate customer service skills.

Education

Preferred: 4-year Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Preferred: 3+ years of auto claims experience

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not include supervisory duties.

In lieu of education & experience

An equivalent combination may be considered.

Compensation

Base salary ranges from $47,500 to $99,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may include incentives such as bonuses or commissions.
