Job summary

Monro, Inc. in Newport News, VA is seeking an Automotive Experienced Auto Technician/State Inspector to diagnose vehicles, perform routine maintenance, and communicate issues to guests clearly.

This role can be full-time or part-time and pays a flat-rate hourly range of $25.00-$40.00 based on experience, with benefits like paid vacation, ASE certification reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement. Requires a high school diploma and tool kit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive training and basic car maintenance/repair knowledge.
• ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory MVR.
• Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro's tool purchase program.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to identify required repairs.
• Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle and document needed services.
• Assist inventory management including pulling tires and stocking parts.
• Support store duties, ensuring cleanliness and guest readiness.
• Follow safety standards and Monro's procedures for wheel torque and oil safety.
• Test drive vehicles per policy while obeying traffic laws.
• Maintain equipment safely and complete required Monro University training.
