Job summary

Monro, Inc. is seeking qualified Automotive Technicians at our Johnston, RI location. The Technician performs basic vehicle diagnostics and routine maintenance per manufacturer specs, delivering 5-star service through clear communication of issues and solutions.

Roles can be full-time or part-time; compensation is flat-rate hourly with incentives. Candidates should have HS diploma, automotive training, and a valid driver’s license; ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE certification and State Inspection license (where applicable) preferred.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory MVR.
• Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to properly identify required repairs.
• Consistently complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection process on every guest vehicle, documenting needed services.
• Assist in inventory management including pulling tires and parts, stocking inventory.
• Assist with general store duties and maintain cleanliness and guest readiness.
• Adhere to safety standards including wheel torque and oil safety procedures.
• Test drive vehicles per Monro’s policy and local traffic laws.

Education
