Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate at our West Point, Virginia facility. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to meet CarMax standards, working with a team in a modern, climate-controlled shop.

Expect hands-on experience with engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC, along with ongoing training and career growth opportunities. You will follow EH&S requirements and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems, based on the needs of the role.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as listed where required by state/local law.
