Job summary

CarMax is seeking a Mechanical Associate to ensure vehicles meet safety, reliability, and performance standards at our West Point, VA facility. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles, from engines and brakes to steering and suspension systems, in a collaborative shop.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Maintain ASE Certifications as required by state/local law (A4, A5, A7, A6, A1, A3, A8, A2) where applicable.

Responsibilities
