Job summary

CarMax in West Point, Virginia is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to CarMax standards for safety, reliability, and performance. You’ll work in a modern, climate‑controlled shop with a collaborative team and modern tools designed for efficiency.

The role requires experience with engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC, strong safety awareness, and the ability to lift heavy objects. ASE certifications (where required) are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
