Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, is seeking a Mechanical Technician II to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. You will work under the Mechanical Services Manager, performing repairs to standards, while upholding safety rules and company policies across the shop.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years of experience, and the ability to operate vehicles with manual or automatic transmissions. This on-site position emphasizes teamwork and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Two to three years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Must be able to drive vehicles with either standard or automatic transmissions.
• Ability to understand and adhere to Company policies in all areas.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
• Perform diagnostic repairs or maintenance to vehicles as assigned.
• Look up parts and use stock parts when possible; notify admins of needed items.
• Test and recheck repairs and road test comebacks as needed.
• Complete all repair orders and inform management of discrepancies or needed parts.
• Assist in creating accurate estimates and recommend additional repairs as needed.
• Maintain safe work area and report incidents to manager.
