Job summary

Purcell Tire and Service Centers in Nevada seeks an Automotive Technician to deliver safe, quality maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with in-depth repair knowledge for every vehicle. You will contribute to exceptional customer value, embracing a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The role offers a base compensation with commissions/bonuses and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, PTO after 90 days, holidays, 401(k) with match, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must own tools.
• Ability to pass background and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license.
• 2-3 yrs automotive tech experience required.
• ASE certifications and/or technical school a plus.

Responsibilities

• Commit to continual improvement, training & professional growth.
• Perform minor to complex repairs based on skill & certification level.
• Perform predefined inspections and testing of automotive repairs.
• Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul automotive vehicles.
• Diagnose, and perform vehicle alignment services.
• Provide labor and time estimates for automotive repairs.
• Provide friendly and effective customer service.
• Maintain an organized and neat work area.

Automotive Technicians are compensated through a combination of hourly pay and service commissions. The listed range represents an estimated total of all compensation sources, listed as an annual rate. Variables include relevant experience, hours worked, certifications, and geographic location.

This position is considered “safety sensitive” for purposes of Assembly Bill 132, as impairment while working in this position presents a substantial risk of death for the employee. Because this position serves customers and services customer vehicles, impairment while working in this position also presents a substantial risk of death for the customer. As such, final candidates for this position will be screened for the presence of non-psychoactive cannabis metabolites and offers of employment will be rescinded if said screening nets a positive result. Once hired, employees may be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident screening and positive results will result in immediate termination under company policies.
