Job summary

Select­ive Insurance Company of America is hiring for a Subrogation Claims Analyst to investigate and resolve subrogation claims for Commercial and Personal Auto lines. You will review complex cases, analyze liability, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with counsel to maximize recoveries while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, plus relevant licensing and several years of claims/subrogation

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of claims handling and subrogation to assist co-workers and field personnel.
• Analyze policy language and endorsements pertaining to subrogation.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Damage and liability evaluation skills.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
• Understanding of Intercompany Arbitration rules and ability to assist field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned claims (complex or high exposure) and determine recovery strategies.
• Analyze loss details, explore subrogation potential, settle claims and secure releases.
• Document files timely and maintain proper follow-up through diary system.
• Engage staff or panel counsel to assist with subrogation and litigation efforts.
• Process calls and correspondence from insureds, claimants, agents, underwriters, attorneys and others.
• Coordinate with arbitration to support timely recoveries on disputed subrogation claims.
• Obtain management approval for settlements beyond authority and participate in reviews.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and stay current on subrogation trends.
