Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking an experienced Subrogation Specialist to investigate and resolve claims across Property, Homeowner, Workers Compensation, and General Liability lines. You will review liability and investigative data to determine recoveries and settlements in line with authority.

The role requires strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills, with focus on compliance, and collaboration with adjusters and counsel to maximize recoveries for Selective.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of claims handling and subrogation.
• Policy language and endorsements analysis related to subrogation.
• Excellent customer service, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Damage and liability evaluation skills.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Intercompany Arbitration and statutes of limitations.
• State adjuster licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned claims to identify recovery opportunities.
• Analyze loss details and pursue subrogation potential.
• Document files timely and communicate with stakeholders.
• Engage staff or panel counsel to assist with subrogation and litigation.
• Handle inquiries from insureds, claimants, agents, and attorneys.
• Coordinate arbitration to support timely recoveries in disputed cases.
• Seek management approval for settlements outside authority levels.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry trends.
• Collaborate with adjusters and counsel to maximize recoveries for Selective.
