Pep Boys in Tampa, FL is hiring a General Service Technician. You will perform basic automotive services such as tire maintenance, oil changes, inspections, and related tasks while delivering great customer service.

You will help keep the shop clean and safe and may advise customers on recommended services. The role requires a valid driver's license, 18+ years old, and willingness to work various shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Eager to learn and pursue a career as an automotive technician.
• Willingness to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
• Background check completed prior to employment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to diagnose and repair basic automotive issues including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Repair flat tires and install wiper blades.
• Keep the shop clean, organized and safe; assist other technicians as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety and environmental rules.
