Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services, tire mounting/balancing, oil changes, and inspections while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work in the tire and service departments, learn diagnostic basics, assist other technicians, and maintain a safe, organized shop, with opportunities to advance.

Must be 18+, have a HS diploma/GED, valid driver's license, and be willing to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive issues (brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, electrical).
• Change engine oil and filter; install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries, headlights and wiper blades; repair flat tires.
• Stock and unload tires; assist fellow technicians; keep shop clean and safe.
