Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services such as oil changes, tire maintenance, and tire repairs while delivering excellent customer service. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe work area and may require advising customers on services and repairs recommended for their vehicles.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Passion for automotive technician career.
• Eager to learn and succeed in a technician role.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Attend formal training to stay updated with automotive technology.
• Perform engine oil and filter changes.
• Install and maintain tires and balance tires.
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems.
• Install headlights and other bulbs.
• Repair flat tires.
• Stock and unload tires.
• Assist technicians in performing technical activities.
• Inform management of repair problems as they occur.
• Keep the shop clean and organized.
• Follow company policy, safety and environmental rules.
