Job summary

MFA Oil Company seeks a General Service Technician for Big O Tires store locations. The role involves performing oil changes, tire installation, balancing, and routine maintenance while greeting customers and explaining service benefits. You will support sales activities and help keep the store clean and stocked.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 75 pounds, work outdoors, and obtain necessary licenses within 6 months. Training is provided, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Age 17 or older with parental consent.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to obtain verification of licensing and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Drain oil and change oil filter; lubricate vehicles; install, rotate and balance tires; check and fill fluids.
• Unload tires and merchandise from trucks and deliveries.
• Inspect disposed tires and store or dispose of them properly.
• Clean facilities, tools, and stock shelves.
• Provide fast and friendly customer service and greet customers.
• Promote sales by explaining benefits of services and products.
• Perform sales duties per policy: pricing, promotions, stocking, vendor check-in.
• Maintain store appearance to meet Big O Tires standards.
• Safely operate customer vehicles with auto and manual transmissions.
• Complete required training and keep supervisor informed of issues.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
